This 1965 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 is a long-wheelbase pickup that was refurbished and modified under prior ownership. Work included refinishing the truck in white, re-fitting the cab with gray vinyl bucket seats, and installing a 350ci V8 linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment includes 15″ chrome wheels, 37″ Goodyear tires, Bilstein shocks, front disc brakes, Saginaw power steering, a Badland winch, LED lighting, Hooker exhaust headers, Flowmaster mufflers, and a Pioneer CD stereo. Acquired by the owner in 2019, this FJ45 pickup is now offered with a clean Iowa title assigned to the owner’s business.
The truck was disassembled, and the body and frame were refinished. Modifications include the addition of a 1978-model hood, side aprons, front panel, and grille, as well as replacement fenders, later-model doors with one-piece glass, diamond-plate rocker panels, and TRD decals. Additional exterior details include a Lazer Star LED light bar, Summit Racing LED headlights, a Badland ZXR 9000 front winch, custom tubular bumpers, a fold-down windshield, and fender-mounted turn signals. Black bedliner material has been applied to the underbody, cab floors, and the bed, which is fitted with a storage box, tie-down cleats, and a spare tire mount.
Chrome 15″ wheels are mounted with 37×12.50″ Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires, and a matching spare is stored in the bed. The truck is equipped with Warn manually locking front hubs, Saginaw power steering, and Bilstein shocks. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.
The cab features later-model FJ40 bucket seats trimmed in gray vinyl, joined by a body-color dashboard and black door panels. Appointments include a custom center console, a carpeted headliner console, a Pioneer CD stereo, Infinity Reference speakers, RCI harnesses, Niken pedal covers, and a Kidde fire extinguisher mounted behind the seats.
The Billet Specialties steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. A Sunpro Super Tach II is mounted to the steering column, and Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite gauges for water temperature and oil pressure are positioned beneath the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 50k miles, approximately 20 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 was installed during the refurbishment and features an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, a Holley fuel pump, a Billet Specialties Streamline air cleaner and valve covers, custom pulleys, and an aluminum radiator with a billet overflow canister. A Counteract electrostatic corrosion control module is installed in the engine bay. The exhaust system is equipped with Hooker ceramic-coated headers and Flowmaster mufflers. The seller states that a replacement battery and inline fuel filter have recently been fitted.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a later-model FJ40 four-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and FJ40-sourced front and rear differentials. A Centerforce clutch was installed during the build.
