This 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4×4 was acquired by the seller in 2023 and subsequently modified by Pipe Dream Custom Fab and Roll Cages of Palm Desert, California. A 6.2L LS3-480 V8 was installed along with a 4L70E four-speed automatic transmission with a dual-range transfer case and Detroit Truetrac limited-slip rear differential. The truck was refinished in blue and white and is fitted with 17″ Raceline Rockcrusher wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, an Offroad Design four-link suspension kit with King coilovers, Antirock anti-sway bars, LED lighting, and a Borla stainless steel exhaust system. The interior features blue vinyl upholstery, a roll bar, Vintage Air climate control, an Alpine touch-screen stereo, USB charging ports, and Dakota digital gauges. This modified K5 Blazer is offered with refurbishment photos and records as well as a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The truck left the factory finished in Dark Blue, and it was stripped and underwent metal repairs before being repainted in the current blue-and-white scheme during the recent refurbishment. Exterior details include a removable white hardtop, LED lighting, chrome bumpers, a drop-down tailgate, and dual exhaust outlets.
Raceline Rockcrusher 17″ wheels wear 35×12.5″ General Grabber X3 tires. The truck has been fitted with an Offroad Design four-link front and rear suspension kit with remote-reservoir King coilovers, and Antirock front and rear anti-sway bars. Braking is provided by power-assisted Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, and the front wheels are mounted over Mile Marker locking hubs.
Sound insulation was fitted under replacement carpeting, the dash pad and central storage console were replaced, and a four-point roll bar was fitted along with Vintage Air climate control and USB charging ports. The Alpine touchscreen head unit features a rear-view camera and Bluetooth compatibility, and it is linked to a custom sound system with subwoofers and amplifiers. The blue vinyl seats are trimmed in blue vinyl with houndstooth cloth inserts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames Dakota Digital RTX gauges consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a clock, a tachometer, dual digital displays, and readouts for battery status, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows 2,900 miles have been added since the build.
The replacement 6.2-liter LS3-480 V8 is an LS376/480 crate engine that was installed under current ownership, and features include a cold air intake and Corvette-branded coil covers. An Optima Yellowtop battery is also installed along with an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a replacement 4L70E four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and an Eaton Detroit Truetrac limited-slip rear differential. Work completed during the aforementioned refurbishment included replacing the driveshafts, modifying the axles, and fitting a Borla Stainless Steel exhaust system with Muscle Rods headers and electronic cutouts.
