This 1988 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat regular cab 4×4 pickup was purchased by the seller in March 2022 and has since undergone a mechanical and cosmetic refresh. In 2022, the 302 Windsor V8 and four-speed automatic transmission were replaced with units sourced from Jasper Engines. In 2024, the truck was repainted in its current shade of black, and the interior was refreshed with replacement black vinyl upholstery for the bench seat and gray carpeting. The truck rides on a 4″ suspension lift with Rough Country components, including a dual front shock set-up, and further equipment includes a dual-range transfer case, power steering, manual locking front hubs, power-assisted front disc brakes, and 15″ Mickey Thompson wheels. The truck also has dual fuel tanks, chrome bumpers, Carr side steps, a bed liner, a receiver hitch, a center console, keyless entry, a Lecarra steering wheel, air conditioning, and a JVC head unit. This F-150 XLT Lariat is now offered at no reserve with service invoices and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.

The truck was repainted in black in August 2024, and a ceramic coating was applied in February 2025. During the paintwork, the headlight and taillight assemblies, as well as the door handles, locks, mirrors, and grille, were replaced. The windshield, rear window, and side window glass were replaced, along with the door seals, in 2022, per the seller. Exterior details include dual fuel tanks, chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, Carr side steps, a bed liner, a bed storage box, a receiver hitch, tinted windows, and swing-away side mirrors. There are indentations in the tailgate, the reverse light does not work, and the driver’s door does not close easily. Detailed photos of the exterior, including imperfections, have been provided in the gallery.

A 4″ suspension lift was achieved using Rough Country components and features a dual front shock setup. Additional equipment includes power steering, manual locking front hubs, and power-assisted front disc brakes. The 15″ Mickey Thompson wheels are mounted with 33×12.50″ Cooper Discoverer tires. The seller states that the brakes were overhauled in July 2022, and the power steering pump was replaced in November 2022. The truck is in need of an alignment.

The interior of the cab was overhauled in August 2024, and work included replacing the cushions and re-covering the bench seat in black vinyl, as well as applying Dynamat sound-deadening material throughout the cab and replacing the carpeting. Woodgrain-style trim accents the dashboard, and additional details include a center console with cup holders, as well as keyless entry, USB charging ports, power windows, power locks, air conditioning, and a JVC head unit linked to aftermarket speakers. The seller tells us that the AC compressor and heater core were replaced in July 2023, and the blower motor and resistor were replaced in December 2024. There are cracks in the dash pad, and the HVAC mode door has to be manually actuated to switch outlets.

The Lecarra steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The seller believes that the five-digit odometer has only rolled over once, and it now shows 66k miles, approximately 13k of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report notes a potential odometer rollback in a May 1997 entry, and a mileage inconsistency in a November 2010 entry. However, the report indicates the latter entry may be the result of a clerical error. The horn does not work, the gear indicator is not present, and the speedometer needle wobbles at speeds below 30-mph.

The replacement 302ci Windsor V8 was sourced from Jasper engines and installed in August 2022. Additional work at that time involved the replacement of the MAP sensor, catalytic converters, and muffler, while the alternator, starter, battery, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap, and a belt were replaced in November 2024. The EGR valve and sensor, as well as the throttle position sensor and heater hoses were replaced in December 2024. The rear fuel pump is temperamental.

A replacement four-speed automatic transmission, which was sourced from Jasper engines and installed in November 2022. It is linked with a dual-range transfer case. There are signs of corrosion on various underbody components.
